Kobe’s Rules

A tragic story. Unexpected. And to remember the man for what he did for a sport and for people who followed him: INSPIRATION.

The Philadelphia Eagles have paid tribute to Kobe Bryant with a memorial wall at their practice facility.

The mural has three images of Bryant: one from his playing days at nearby Lower Merion High School, one as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers and one in an Eagles uniform.

In the middle are “Kobe’s 10 Rules”:

  1. GET BETTER EVERY SINGLE DAY
  2. PROVE THEM WRONG
  3. WORK ON YOUR WEAKNESSES
  4. EXECUTE WHAT YOU PRACTICED
  5. LEARN FROM GREATNESS
  6. LEARN FROM WINS & LOSSES
  7. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS
  8. BE AMBITIOUS
  9. #BELIEVE IN YOUR TEAM
  10. LEARN STORYTELLING

We can all learn from this. We can all live by this in our lives, in the work that we do, and in the way we choose to be a part of something much much bigger than ourselves.

  1. This was a hard one for me and thank you for posting about him. We are the same age and I grew up rooting and cheering and following him. His death although I didn’t know him was devastating to me. He left a legacy which is HUGE for someone his age and maybe he fulfilled his purpose here by that. We need to really think about posting and lifting up the people still with us because they are still fulfilling something and it sucks that most of the people we tend to admire have passed. I wish he would have been posted more about during his life because he truly was an amazing man to aspire to be like. Thank you for posting about him.
